Geometry and archetype as a compositional scheme in children's art

In this article, we present a study on children's art where the plastic expressions of children whose ages were between two and nine years were followed, proving how in these children's works the symbols would be based on the composition, which would have great parallelisms with the artistic works of the past and contemporary art, finding archetypal geometric shapes that would be at the same time carriers of meanings. During the investigation, intuition was strengthened against exclusively rational processes for children to connect with their own symbols, thus proving that the human being would possess greater innate abilities to which greater freedom of action should be given, since these would be the ones that they would help us to evolve and create. All this leads us to the conclusion that new methodologies can be introduced in teaching, where the graphic or symbol becomes more important as an element of knowledge of our deepest essence. En este artículo exponemos un estudio realizado sobre arte infantil donde se hizo un seguimiento de las expresiones plásticas de niños cuyas edades estaban comprendidas entre los dos años y los nueve años, comprobándose como en estas obras infantiles subyacería en la composición símbolos, que tendrían grandes paralelismos con las obras artísticas del pasado y del arte contemporáneo, encontrándonos formas geométricas arquetípicas que serían a la vez portadoras de significados. Durante la investigación se potenció la intuición frente a procesos exclusivamente racionales para que los niños conectaran con sus propios símbolos, comprobándose así como el ser humano poseería capacidades innatas más grandes a las que se debe dar una mayor libertad de acción, pues estas serían las que nos ayudarían a evolucionar y crear. Todo esto nos lleva a la conclusión de que se puede introducir nuevas metodologías en la docencia, donde el gráfico o símbolo cobre un mayor protagonismo como elemento de conocimiento de nuestra esencia más profunda.
