Various are the species which are the most challenging to propagate in vitro and Coconut is within this group. Several are the approaches that have been tested in the past five decades; however, still a somatic embryogenic culture system in Coconut has not been reached. The current study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy in reducing oxidative browning on callus explant by using activated charcoal (AC) and 2aminoindane-2-phosphonic acid (AIP) either alone or in combinations.
