In this project, using data from Australian censuses 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2011, a web interactive tool to visually explore chosen variables was designed. Demographic studies are an important topic in data analytics because the results of these analyses can be used to develop socio-economic policies to improve the life for societies and individuals. Variables to develop the web application were strategically chosen to show four basic visualization techniques: line charts, bar and column charts, pie charts, and choropleth map through the application. Three analyses from different approaches were conducted to demonstrate that data visualization supports data analysis. However, for two of the analyses additional information was required.
