El trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar los factores relevantes de la capacidad de absorción de conocimiento de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYMES) del sector camaronero de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Su alcance metodológico describe los factores que inciden los resultados de las empresas implicadas. El enfoque de la investigación es mixto, empleándose la encuesta y el análisis estadístico por medio del software Statistical Product and Service Solutions de IBM (SPSS). La investigación comienza analizando el comportamiento del micro y macro entorno enfocado en la capacidad de absorción e identificando los factores que repercuten de manera exitosa o no en el funcionamiento de las organizaciones pesqueras. El estudio comprende una muestra de 51 PYMES del sector pesquero, obteniéndose información mediante encuestas previamente diseñadas. Asimismo, los datos están analizados en base a sus cualidades, aplicándose una regresión de logística binaria para identificar el porcentaje de probabilidad de que exista capacidad de absorción frente a la probabilidad de que no exista esto en el sector camaronero de la Ciudad de Guayaquil. Con estos resultados, se logró identificar los factores más influyentes en la capacidad de absorción en las PYMES del sector antes mencionado y, de esta manera, se colabora para que estas logren mantenerse en el mercado con una capacidad de absorción adecuada.
This research accomplish to determine the relevant factors of the knowledge absorption capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the shrimp sector of the city of Guayaquil. Its methodological reach describes the factors that affect the results of the companies involved. The research focus is mixed, using the survey, statistical analysis and the Statistical Product and Service Solutions software from IBM (SPSS). The research begins since analyzing the behavior of the micro and macro environment focused on the absorptive capacity and identifying the factors that have a success or not in the operation of the fishing organizations. The study comprises a sample of 51 SMEs from the fishing sector, obtaining information through previously designed surveys. Likewise, the data are analyzed based on their qualities, applying a binary logistic regression to identify the percentage probability of absorption capacity against the probability that there is no absorption capacity in the shrimp sector in Guayaquil city. With these results, it was possible to identify the most influential factors so that there is no absorption capacity in the SMEs of the aforementioned sector and, in this way, they collaborate so that they are able to remain in the market with an adequate absorption capacity.
