El presente trabajo de titulaci?n surge del an?lisis de los informes entregados por el INEVAL, con respecto a las pruebas Ser Estudiante y PISA-D y los resultados obtenidos del pretest aplicado a los educandos del 7? EB de la Unidad Educativa Rep?blica del Ecuador, en donde se refleja la necesidad de trabajar habilidades cient?ficas. Por ello, el objetivo de este trabajo es dise?ar una propuesta did?ctica que ayude a reforzar habilidades cient?ficas por medio de la Astronom?a. La investigaci?n asumi? el paradigma socio-cr?tico, con un enfoque cualitativo y seg?n la investigaci?n-acci?n. Los datos fueron recolectados a partir de la observaci?n no participante, el an?lisis documental, la entrevista y la aplicaci?n de un pretest y post test. La propuesta did?ctica se desarrolla a trav?s de cuatro sesiones de aprendizaje, en donde se abord? temas como el calentamiento global y el asentamiento humano en la Luna. Las sesiones de aprendizaje siguen una secuencia que empieza con el problema del calentamiento global y parte de la pregunta ?A d?nde ir?amos si la Tierra deja de existir? En funci?n de esta interrogante, los educandos inician un proceso de indagaci?n sobre que planeta o sat?lite podr?a albergar vida humana. Posteriormente a la aplicaci?n de la propuesta se analizan los resultados, los mismos que reflejan cambios significativos en cuanto a los puntajes de los educandos y nos permite afirmar que la propuesta did?ctica ha logrado fortalecer habilidades del pensamiento cient?fico.
The present degree work arises from the analysis of the INEVAL reports regarding science skills at the ?Ser Estudiante? and PISA-D tests and the low results obtained from the Natural Science pretest applied to the students of the 7th EB of the Educational Unit Rep?blica del Ecuador. Therefore, the objective of this work is to desing didactic proposal that helps reinforce scientific skills through Astronomy. The research assumed the socio-critical paradigm, with a qualitative approach and according to action-research. The data were collected from non-participating observation, documentary analysis, an interview and the application of a pretest and post-test. The didactic proposal includes four learning sessions that address topics such as global warming and challenges of human settlement on the Moon. The learning sessions follow a sequence that begins with the problem of global warming and part of the question: Where would we go if the Earth ceases to exist? From this question, the students can begin a process of inquiry about wich planet or satellite could host human life. After the application of the proposal, the analysis of the results reflects significant changes in the students? scores at post-test, because students have learned, showing the didactical proposal strengths their scientific skills.
