Description: This article analyzes the deposits and placements of private financial establishments regulated by the Superintendence of Banks and Insurance of Ecuador, which are Banks, Financial Societies and Mutual Savings and Credit Associations for Housing. It is important to mention that the Savings and Credit Cooperatives are part of the mentioned group, but as of January 2013 they became controlled by the Superintendence of Popular and Solidarity Economy. En el presente artículo se analizan las captaciones y colocaciones de los establecimientos financieros privados regulados por la Superintendencia de Bancos y Seguros del Ecuador, que son los Bancos, Sociedades Financieras y Asociaciones Mutualistas de Ahorro y Crédito para la Vivienda. Es importante mencionar que las Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito forman parte del mencionado grupo, pero a partir de enero del 2013 pasaron a ser controladas por la Superintendencia de Economía Popular y Solidaria.
