The objective of this work is to identify the urban foundations from which the Hispano-American city was built in the repopulation processes that took place during the Christian Reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. The investigation begins in the reign of Alfonso X El sio and it goes until the time of the discovery in a route in which the union between history and urbanism is indissoluble. The crucial moment of this historical journey is precisely its origin, the reign of Alfonso X El Sabio, because in it the urban pattern that will lay the foundations of the future Spanish city in America is discovered. El objetivo del trabajo es identificar los procesos de repoblación durante la reconquista cristiana de la Península Ibérica; se analizará desde los fundamentos urbanos en los cuales se construyó la ciudad Hispanoamericana. La investigación arranca en el reinado de Alfonso X, El Sabio, y termina en un recorrido en el que resulta indisoluble la unión entre historia y urbanismo. El momento crucial de este recorrido histórico es el reinado de Alfonso X, El Sabio, porque en él se descubre el patrón urbano que sentará las bases de la futura ciudad española en América.
