UNIVERSALIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION: AN EXPERIENCE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF LAS TUNASRESUMENLa universalización significó una nueva etapa en el desarrollo de la educación superior cubana que dignificó la enseñanza. Al considerar la existencia de insuficiencias en la gestión de la matrícula, desde el ingreso hasta el egreso de los estudiantes que afecta la efectividad del ciclo, se realiza la investigación. Se presenta el comportamiento de la matrícula con el fin estudiar las causales que de manera negativa limitan el sustento a este nivel de enseñanza, como premisa del desarrollo territorial que deberá responder a la estrategia institucional para contribuir a la solución de la problemática y a la consolidación de la gestión universitaria, en el proceso de actualización del modelo económico cubano. Las conclusiones reflejan los aspectos más esenciales de la investigación y la necesidad de continuar el estudio del comportamiento de la matrícula en las universidades, incluye la bibliografía consultada.PALABRAS CLAVE: universalización; educación superior; ingreso; egreso; efectividad.ABSTRACTUniversalization meant a new stage in the development of Cuban higher education that dignified teaching.
