RELEVANCE STUDY OF THE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION COURSE AT THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF BABAHOYO, ECUADORRESUMENLas Universidades se encuentran alineadas con los requerimientos de prospectiva globales en el área de Administración. En el Ecuador la Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior, exige el análisis de la pertinencia de las carreras, la presente investigación pretende determinar, hacia donde se dirige la carrera de Administración de Empresas de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, en cuyo estudio se busca generar un enfoque a las nuevas tendencias y a la planificación que el estado Ecuatoriano tienen para el país, de esta esta manera identificar el nuevo direccionamiento de la carrera en la provincia de Los Ríos. Ante la necesidad de generar profesionales administradores de empresa que estén acorde a estas nuevas necesidades, las empresas que incursionan en el entorno sean esta, grandes, medianas o pequeñas deben vincularse con la Universidad y expresar sus necesidades, solo de esta forma el estudio de la pertinencia será un análisis comparativo de las mallas curriculares de diferentes instituciones de educación superior a nivel regional y local y lo que requiere en realidad el medio. El tipo de investigación es cualitativa y cuantitativa; las entrevistas, encuestas a empleadores en toda la provincia, la herramienta utilizada para determinar las tendencias del mercado ocupacional, demanda ocupacional, roles, funciones y los requerimientos de los empleadores.PALABRAS CLAVE: pertinencia; administración de Empresas; educación superior.ABSTRACTThe Universities are aligned with the global foresight requirements in the area of Administration. In Ecuador, the Organic Law of Higher Education, requires the analysis of the relevance of careers, this research aims to determine, where is the career of Business Administration of the Technical University of Babahoyo, whose study seeks to generate a Approach to the new trends and the planning that the Ecuadorian state has for the country, in this way to identify the new direction of the race in the province of Los Ríos. Given the need to generate professional business managers who are in accordance with these new needs, the companies that are involved in the environment are large, medium or small should be linked to the University and express their needs, only this way the study of the Pertinence will be a comparative analysis of the curricula of different institutions of higher education at regional and local level and what the medium actually requires. The type of research is qualitative and quantitative; Interviews, employer surveys throughout the province, the tool used to determine trends in the occupational market, occupational demand, roles, roles, and employer requirements.KEYWORDS: relevance; business administration; higher education.
