THE TEACHING OF BIOPHYSIOLOGY IN THE SOUTH HEADS OF THE COMMON BASIC CYCLE AND ITS INTERACTION WITH THE POWERS OF THE HEALTH AND LIFE AREA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BUENOS AIRESRESUMENEn este trabajo se presenta una reseña del marco político- histórico-institucional de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) que se inserta en una parte importante de la historia argentina; la creación con la recuperación de la democracia de un sistema igualitario e irrestricto de acceso al conocimiento a través del Ciclo Básico Común (CBC), unidad académica que dicta 26 asignaturas y tiene una matrícula de más de 65.000 estudiantes; y la situación de articulación y demanda social de las Facultades del área de la Salud y la Vida: Medicina, Bioquímica y Farmacia, Odontología, Agronomía y Veterinaria (FSV) en base a datos basados en los últimos censos. Se presenta asimismo un proyecto en vías de ejecución del uso de las tecnologías de la comunicación y la información (TIC’s) en relación con una nueva población estudiantil que reside en regiones que distan hasta 400 km de la ciudad de Buenos Aires en las llamadas Sedes Lejanas (SL). Este proyecto se aplica especialmente como herramienta de inclusión al caso de la enseñanza de la Biofísica del CBC, asignatura con un exigente plan académico en temas de Física General. La fuerte inserción en las FSV se da a través de clases especiales dictadas en dichas facultades, e-n relación con la perspectiva biológica de los temas tratados en Biofísica. El uso de aulas virtuales, plataformas tecnológicas y aulas multimedia, recursos de fácil implementación y económicamente accesibles, forman parte de una estrategia para hacer llegar a los estudiantes de las SL las clases de las FSV. La iniciativa es alentada por los varios actores intervinientes y puede ser aplicada en otros contextos educativos.PALABRAS CLAVE: UBA; CBC; FSV; TIC’s; aula virtual; Moodle; CITEP; aula multimedia; integración regional; SL; inclusión educativa; enseñanza de la Biofísica.ABSTRACTThis paper presents an overview of the political-historical-institutional framework of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), which forms part of an important part of Argentine history; The creation with the recovery of democracy from an equal and unrestricted system of access to knowledge through the Common Basic Cycle (CBC), an academic unit that dictates 26 subjects and has a enrollment of more than 65,000 students; And the situation of articulation and social demand of the Faculties of the area of Health and Life: Medicine, Biochemistry and Pharmacy, Dentistry, Agronomy and Veterinary (FSV) based on data based on the last censuses. A project in the process of implementing the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) is also presented in relation to a new student population that resides in regions that are up to 400 km from the city of Buenos Aires in the so-called Far Locations (SL). This project is especially applied as a tool for inclusion in the case of teaching the Biophysics of CBC, subject with a demanding academic plan in General Physics subjects. The strong insertion in the FSV occurs through special classes dictated in these faculties, e-n relation with the biological perspective of the subjects treated in Biophysics. The use of virtual classrooms, technological platforms and multimedia classrooms, easy-to-implement and economically accessible resources are part of a strategy to bring students from SL to FSV classes.
