"PLANNED FOCUS ON FORM" APPLIED TO THE LEARNING OF GRAMMATICAL TIMES CONTINUED IN STUDENTS WITH LEVEL A2 OF A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY OF ECUADORRESUMENEsta investigación acción aplica Planned Focus on Form a un grupo de 31 participantes universitarios provenientes de sectores socioeconómicos medios y bajos. Los resultados evaluados corresponden a los tiempos gramaticales del presente y pasado continuo, las calificaciones obtenidas fueron analizadas con el uso de la prueba T test, la misma que demostró que PFoF ejerce una influencia positiva en estos dos tiempos a largo plazo. Además de las calificaciones, los errores más comunes a corto y largo plazo fueron identificados sobresaliendo problemas con la utilización de la estructura y formas continuas.PALABRAS CLAVE: Presente continuo; pasado continuo; A2; Enseñanza de Lenguas Extrajeras; aprendices.ABSTRACTThis action research applies Planned Focus on Form to a group of 31 university participants from middle and low socio-economic sectors. The results evaluated corresponded to grammatical times of the present and past continuous, the obtained scores were analyzed with the use of the test T test, the same one that showed that PFoF exerts a positive influence in these two times in the long term. In addition to qualifications, the most common short- and long-term errors were identified, highlighting problems with the use of structure and continuous forms.KEYWORDS: present continuous; past continuous; A2; Teaching of Foreign Languages; learners.
