L?mites del Paisaje

Description: A landscape artwork consists of a drawing or painting that is a subjective representation of a stretch of land seen from a single viewpoint. Indeed, the gaze creates the landscape and, reciprocally, acquires meaning from it; but ?seeing? may also be taken to refer to other senses or to intelligence. What is more, the memory of what once was forms the landscape, which is, otherwise, often the fruit of human labor and of the process of shaping a social group and, therefore, has a historical and political significance. Nowadays, landscape is no longer merely contemplated and represented, it is conceived as something constructed, a place to intervene with a view to changing the viewer?s consciousness.
Una obra de paisaje consiste en un dibujo o pintura que representa subjetivamente una extensi?n natural de terreno que se ve desde un sitio. Efectivamente, la mirada crea el paisaje y cobra de ?l su sentido, pero ?ver? se refiere tambi?n a los otros sentidos o a la inteligencia. Es m?s, el recuerdo de lo que fue conforma el paisaje que, por lo dem?s, muchas veces es fruto del trabajo humano y del proceso de configuraci?n del grupo, y tiene, por tanto, significaci?n hist?rica y pol?tica. Hoy, el paisaje ha dejado de ser algo que solo se contempla y representa para pasar a ser pensado como algo que se construye, donde se interviene queriendo generar cambios de conciencia en el espectador.
