This article develops an analysis of the novel Chronicle of a death foretold (1981) by Gabriel García Márquez, through the exposure and appliance of the categories of intertextuality and interculturality, whose semantic fields differ conceptually, but are linked to the narrative plots bosom; everything in order to make understandable the notion of literary identity as a cultural problem.
Este artículo desarrolla un análisis de la novela de Gabriel García Márquez, Crónica de una muerte anunciada (1981), a partir de exponer y aplicar las categorías de intertextualidad e interculturalidad, cuyos campos semánticos se diferencian conceptualmente, mas se vinculan al seno de la trama narrativa; todo ello en procura de hacer comprensible la noción de identidad literaria como problema cultural.
