Acuerdos regionales en Sudamérica: entre la integración y la fragmentación [una perspectiva andina] (Tema Central)

Description: En el artículo se analiza cómo los acuerdos regionales, que proliferaron a partir de los años noventa, contribuyen a fragmentar o consolidar el proceso de integración de la Comunidad Andina. Para el autor, existen elementos objetivos, económicos y estratégicos, sobre la base de los cuales se pueden elaborar lineamientos de confluencia mínima que partan de lo positivo de los acuerdos de integración formales y que incluyan los nuevos elementos de propuestas alternativas.
The article analyses how regional agreements, which are abundant since the 90’s, contribute to the fragmentation o consolidation of the process of integration in the Comunidad Andina. For the author, there exist objective, economic and strategic elements, upon which basic lines of convergence can be elaborated, which break with the positive elements of the formal integration agreements and which include new elements of alternative proposals.
