Nowadays, educational organizations, due to the great responsibility they have in the formation of human beings, face great changes and face innumerable challenges to provide high-level educational experiences and to ensure a relevant position in a challenging society. Therefore, the figure of the director is key because s/he is the natural leader of schools, and it is necessary to effectively and efficiently conduct school management. The present study intended to reveal the feeling of teachers of the San Juan de Miraflores district in Metropolitan Lima concerning the leadership in the director's management. It was research developed under a qualitative approach, which used the hermeneutical phenomenological method to interpret the interview made with four teachers from three private institutions of the San Juan de Miraflores district, who were selected meeting certain parameters. The findings allowed the definition of three key categories within the discourse of educators: the role of the director in schools, managerial leadership in educational management, and the importance of leadership in the director's management, which defined new research concerns.
Hoy en día, las organizaciones educativas, por la gran responsabilidad que tienen en la formación del ser humano, se enfrentan a grandes cambios y afrontan innumerables desafíos para brindar experiencias educativas de alto nivel y para asegurar una posición relevante en una sociedad desafiante. Por lo tanto, la figura del director es clave, debido a que es el líder natural de las escuelas y a que es necesario que, como tal, conduzca en forma eficaz y eficiente la gestión escolar. El presente estudio tuvo como intencionalidad develar el sentir de los docentes del distrito de San Juan de Miraflores, en Lima Metropolitana, con respecto al liderazgo en la gestión del director. Se trató de una investigación desarrollada bajo un enfoque cualitativo, que empleó el método fenomenológico hermenéutico para interpretar la entrevista hecha a cuatro docentes de tres instituciones privadas, quienes fueron seleccionados cumpliendo ciertos parámetros. Los hallazgos permitieron la definición de tres categorías clave dentro del discurso de los educadores: el rol del director en las escuelas, el liderazgo directivo en la gestión educativa y la importancia del liderazgo en la gestión del director, las cuales definieron nuevas inquietudes de investigación.
