El acoso en el ambiente académico ha sido investigado enfocándose en las escuelas y colegios, dejando a un lado a los estudiantes del ámbito universitario, convirtiéndose en una realidad oculta y siendo una barrera en la culminación de su proyecto de vida. Por ello surge la necesidad de realizar este trabajo investigativo en los/as estudiantes de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca. Objetivo general: Determinar los tipos de acoso en los/as estudiantes de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca, Matriz, Sedes y Extensiones. Tipo de investigación: Tiene enfoque cuantitativo, es de tipo descriptivo, transversal. Universo: comprende 12.616 estudiantes. Muestra: 373 estudiantes, se aplicó una fórmula y se seleccionó por conglomerados. Técnica: se utilizó un cuestionario para detectar los tipos de acoso. Resultados: El 72% reportaron haber sido víctimas de acoso, de este corresponde 38% al acoso académico, 28% al psicológico y 7% al sexual. Conclusión: Las conductas de acoso en la vida estudiantil universitaria, se encuentran presentes en todas las sedes de la Universidad donde se realizó la investigación
Research on the issue of bullying and school harassment has been focused mainly on the elementary and high school levels, leaving the university level out of this studies. This problems have become a hidden reality for university students, and they have turned into a barrier that keeps them from successfully finishing their educational projects. For that reason, we have seen the need to carry out this study with the students of the “Catholic University of Cuenca”. General objective: to determine the types of bullying and harassment which can be present in the Catholic University of Cuenca in its Headquarters, venues and extensions. Type of research: quantitative approach, it is a descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional study. Universe: it consists of 12.616 students. Sample population: 373 students. A formula has been applied and the participants have been selected by conglomerates. Technique: a questionnaire has been used to detect the types of bullying and/or harassment. Results: 72% of the participants reported having suffered harassment. 38% corresponds to academic harassment, 28% of it is psychological and 7% is sexual. Conclusion: Bullying and harassment tendencies towards university students have been found at all the branches of the University in which the investigation was carried out.
