Desde sus inicios en la construcción social y en el marco deportivo la mujeres siempre ha estado relegada, a la sombra del varón. Tras varios intentos por consolidarse dentro del mundo deportivo, las mujeres logran involucrarse y destacarse en el fútbol a finales del siglo XX. Actualmente el balompié femenino representa un aporte a la transformación social que lucha por la equidad de derechos y oportunidades. El trabajo de investigación recoge la desvalorización, discriminación y falta de apoyo de la prensa deportiva al fútbol deportivo de la ciudad de Cuenca a través de un documental audiovisual que registra la problemática y vivencias de sus protagonistas, las mujeres futbolistas de dos equipos cuencanos.
Since its beginnings in the social construction and in the sporting framework, women have always been relegated to the shadow of men. After several attempts to consolidate themselves in the sports world, women managed to get involved and stand out in soccer at the end of the 20th century. Currently, women's soccer represents a contribution to the social transformation that fights for equal rights and opportunities. The research work reflects the devaluation, discrimination and lack of support from the sports press to sports soccer in the city of Cuenca through an audiovisual documentary that records the problems and experiences of its protagonists, women soccer players of two teams from Cuenca.
