La presente investigación pretende analizar la ética en el Periodismo Digital en la red social Facebook de los medios de mayor cobertura y alcance de Cuenca. El nuevo entorno digital en el que se desarrolla la actividad periodística requiere normas éticas adaptadas al nuevo espacio. Por esta razón, es necesario realizar un estudio que genere una guía para los periodistas en la era digital, en cuanto al manejo ético de los contenidos informativos que se difunden en la Web. El uso de Facebook como un medio para dar a conocer la información de forma inmediata se ha convertido en un arma de doble filo para los comunicadores. De tal manera que, si por una parte esta herramienta del ciberespacio favorece a una mayor difusión de la información, por otro lado, la prisa por multiplicar las noticias y entregarlas al instante afecta la calidad y veracidad de las mismas.
The present investigation intends to analyze the ethics in Digital Journalism in the social network Facebook of the media of greater coverage and scope of Cuenca. The new digital environment in which journalistic activity takes place requires ethical norms adapted to the new space. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out a study that generates a guide for journalists in the digital age regarding the ethical management of the informative contents that are disseminated on the web. The use of Facebook as a means to publicize the information immediately has become a double-edged sword for communicators. So, if on the one hand this cyberspace tool favors a greater dissemination of information, on the other hand, the rush to multiply the news and deliver it instantly affects the quality and veracity of the same.
