El periodonto está compuesto por un grupo de tejidos especializados, que forman parte de la estabilidad y armonía de la cavidad bucal, al presentar alteraciones como caries a nivel subgingival en varias estructuras dentales el odontólogo tiene la opción de recuperar este espacio tisular supregestal para devolver el silencio clínico, lo que convierte en una cirugía compleja, más aún en pacientes jóvenes con estos signos clínicos. Cuyo riesgo cariogénico es alto y la dificultad restauradora compleja, por lo que debe ser tratado mediante una cirugía periodontal compleja llamada gingivectomía y osteotomía. El objetivo de este caso clínico fue mantener las piezas dentales en boca en una paciente joven de 17 años con multicaries a nivel subgingival en el maxilar en la zona anterosuperior, al finalizar el tratamiento devolvimos estética y función de forma conservadora, dejándonos resultados favorables y gran mejoría emocional y psicológica de la paciente al recibir el tratamiento.
The periodontium consists of a group of specialized tissues that contribute to the stability and harmony of the oral cavity. In the case of alterations such as caries at the subgingival level in various dental structures, the dentist can restore this supregestal tissue space to restore clinical tranquility, being a complex intervention, especially in young patients with these clinical signs. Its cariogenic risk is high, and its restorative difficulties are complex, so these patients need to be treated by complex periodontal surgery, called gingivectomy and osteotomy. This clinical case aimed to preserve the teeth in the mouth of a young patient of 17 years with subgingival multicaries in the maxilla in the anterosuperior region. At the end of the treatment, esthetics and function were conservatively restored, achieving favorable results and a great emotional and psychological improvement of the patient after the treatment.
