El presente proyecto lleva como título “Maltrato Infantil en el Comportamiento de niños de 6 a 12 años de la escuela “Nicolás Copérnico”, Quito, Período, 2011- 2012” La importancia de este tema radica en que el maltrato es un problema social que nos afecta a todos pues desconocemos la verdadera proporción de dicha problemática, las secuelas marcan la vida del niño o niña maltratado /a, tanto en su vida familiar como en la escuela. El maltrato y sus tipos presentan varios indicadores que ayudan a identificar si un niño o niña es víctima del maltrato por lo que resulta de mucha importancia que el docente sea un buen observador y gane la confianza de sus estudiantes. Mediante una investigación de campo queremos identificar si un niño o niña sufre maltrato en casa; por parte de sus padres, hermanos o tutores; es un niño que sufre de cambios bruscos de comportamiento, repite las conductas de maltrato ya sea físico o psicológico en la escuela con sus compañeros/as más pequeños o iguales. El maltrato infantil por ser un problema que desde el inicio de los tiempos ha sido visto como normal o como un derecho que tienen los padres para educar a los hijos, resulta difícil erradicarlo por completo ya que los padres ven a sus hijos como objetos de su propiedad y no como sujetos de derechos por lo que queremos disminuir los índices de maltrato en los hogares de nuestros alumnos mediante el desarrollo de talleres dirigidos a padres y estudiantes y así mejorar la calidad de vida de los estudiantes.
This Project is titled “Child Abuse in the Behavior of Children from 6 to 12 years of School ´Nicolás Copérnico´, Quito, Period 2011- 2012”. The importance of this issue is that the abuse is a social problem that affects us all, because we are not aware of the true proportion of the problem; the aftermath mark the life of the abused child, both in his family life and in their school life. Abuse and their types, have several indicators that help identify is a child is being abused, so it is very important for the teacher to become a good observer and win the trust of his/her students. By a filed investigation, we wanted to identify whether a child suffering mistreatment at home, by fart of his/her parents, brothers or guardians, is a child suffering of abrupt changes of behavior, repeats the behaviors of mistreatment, whether physical or psychologically, in school with his smaller peers or those of his/her same age. Child abuse, being a problem since the beginning of time, has been seen as normal or as a right of parents in order to raise their children; it is difficult to completely eradicate, as parents see their child as objects or property, and not as beings with right, so we want to reduce the rate of abuse in the homes of our students through the development of workshops for parents and students, and improve the quality of life for them.
