El desarrollo de este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo realizar una Auditoría Financiera al Departamento Financiero Municipio del Cantón San Lorenzo periodo 1 de Enero al 31 de Diciembre del 2014, por lo cual se realizara una evaluación a los procesos administrativos y financieros, que nos permita identificar las falencias de la información proporcionada por el departamento financiero, para proporcionar una herramienta de apoyo con soluciones que les permita cumplir con sus objetivos. Se tomó en cuenta la necesidad que se presenta en el departamento financiero, por medio de la presente investigación se pueda brindar el apoyo al cumplimiento de los procesos administrativos y financieros para que estos puedan ser mejorados. En el desarrollo del trabajo de auditoría financiera se han detectado falencias en el control interno, lo que permitió por medio de la realización del examen se espera mejorar dichos procesos.
The development of this research aims to carry out a Financial Audit to the financial department of the Municipally of san Lorenzo Canton, from January 1rst to December 31th, 2014; therefore an evaluation will be performed to the administrative and financial processes, which allow us to identify the shortcomings of the information provided by the Financial Department and to provide a support tool with solutions that allow them to meet their objectives. Taking into account the need presented in the financial department, by means of this research it is possible to provide support for the implementation of administrative and financial processes so that they can be improved. In the development of this financial Audit work have been identified weaknesses in internal control, which allowed that through the execution of the evaluation as it is possible to improve the above mentioned processes.
