El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objeto identificar a través de la metodología COSO II aquellos eventos que afectan de forma negativa a las actividades operacionales de la Compañía de Transporte Alemán y Turismo “ALTRATURSA S.A”. Los resultados obtenidos del diagnóstico situacional del negocio, efectuado con la metodología COSO II, permitieron proponer y plantear procesos, procedimientos, políticas y mecanismos de control para el área administrativa, contable y financiera creando acciones estratégicas que disminuyan total o parcialmente los riesgos y que de esta forma la Compañía alcance a cumplir cada una de las metas y objetivos planteados. De igual forma se plantea la necesidad de su adopción por parte del nivel directivo, para que la Compañía de Transporte Alemán y Turismo “ALTRATURSA S.A” se capaz de tener un buen desenvolvimiento en todas sus áreas y de todos sus recursos, lo cual coadyuvará al crecimiento y desarrollo económico de la misma.
The present research work aims to identify, through the COSO II methodology, the events that negatively affect the operational activities of the Compañía de Transporte Alemán y Turismo “ALTRATURSA S.A.” The results obtained from the business situational diagnosis, carried out using the COSO II methodology, allowed proposing processes, procedures, policies and control mechanisms for the administrative, accounting and financial area, creating strategic actions that totally or partially reduce risks and this way the Company will achieve each of the goals and objectives set. Likewise, there is a need of its adoption by the management level, so that the Compañía de Transporte Alemán y Turismo "ALTRATURSA SA" is able to have a good development in all its areas and all its resources, which will assist the growth and economic development.
