El presente trabajo de titulación tuvo como objetivo general analizar el Cutting en adolescentes, como un acting out, frente al discurso materno contemporáneo. La relevancia de la investigación radica en la creciente manifestación de dicha problemática producto de un discurso materno que en la actualidad se muestra imposibilitado de transmitir significantes suficientes para tramitar la angustia del adolescente en relación al acto social. El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue mixto, ya que la investigación fue abordada por el método cualitativo, por medio del análisis de un caso y cuantitativo, por medio de encuestas administradas a estudiantes de octavo de básica de una escuela fiscomisional de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Así mismo se realizó un teorización basada en bibliografía de autores psicoanalíticos que realizan un abordaje pertinente al fenómeno investigado. Como resultados se obtuvo que el cutting es un acting out que tiene como finalidad un llamado al Otro, en especial un llamado a los padres inmersos en conflictos de pareja, donde el discurso materno desregularizado deja marcas en la subjetividad del adolescente, llenándolo de angustia y empujándolo a buscar un equilibrio psíquico por medio del cutting.
The main purpose of this thesis was to analyze Cutting in adolescents, as an acting out, as opposed to contemporary maternal discourse. The relevance of the research lies in the growing manifestation of this problematic product of a maternal discourse that at present is unable to transmit enough signifiers to process the anguish of the adolescent in relation to the social act. The methodological approach used was mixed, since the research was approached by the qualitative method, by means of the analysis of a case and quantitative, by means of surveys administered to eighth grade students of a fiscomisional school in the city of Guayaquil. Likewise, a theorization based on the bibliography of psychoanalytic authors who perform a relevant approach to the phenomenon under investigation was carried out. As results it was obtained that the cutting is an acting out that has as a purpose a call to the Other, especially a call to the parents immersed in couple conflicts, where the deregulated maternal speech leaves marks in the subjectivity of the adolescent, filling him with anguish and pushing him to seek a psychic equilibrium through cutting
