El presente trabajo de titulación tiene como objetivo el de evaluar el impacto en el margen bruto de los negocios avícolas, ante la variación del precio de la libra de pollo en pie, a través del análisis de datos teóricos, contables, financieros y la interpretación de hallazgos convenidos de la recolección de datos. Por tal motivo se optó por una investigación de alcance explicativo pues se indaga sobre las causas que generan el fenómeno investigado, mediante un enfoque mixto, con datos tantos cualitativos como cuantitativos, recolectados de una muestra de productores avícolas de la zona alta de provincia de El Oro que comprende cantones como: Balsas, Piñas, Zaruma y Marcabelí. Como conclusión se pudo evidenciar que el desequilibrio en la oferta y demanda generado por la sobreproducción de aves, causa una variación en el precio de la libra de pollo en pie dependiendo de los meses de comercialización, que ante los costos muy lineales de pequeños y medianos productores de la zona, el margen bruto en estos negocios se ve claramente afectado.
The objective of this titration work is to evaluate the impact on the gross margin of poultry businesses, in the face of the variation in the price of a pound of live chicken, through the analysis of theoretical, accounting, financial data and the interpretation of agreed findings from data collection. For this reason, an investigation of explanatory scope was chosen as it investigates the causes that generate the phenomenon under investigation, through a mixed approach, with both qualitative and quantitative data, collected from a sample of poultry producers in the upper area of the province of El Gold that includes cantons such as: Balsas, Piñas, Zaruma and Marcabelí. As a conclusion, it was possible to show that the imbalance in supply and demand generated by the overproduction of birds causes a variation in the price of a pound of live chicken according to the months of commercialization, which given the very linear costs of small and medium producers of the zone, the gross margin in these businesses is clearly affected.
