El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo establecer la mejor herramienta informática para la ejecución de pruebas de auditoría, con el propósito de que las firmas pequeñas y medianas en Guayaquil comiencen a utilizarla dejando atrás la herramienta de Excel. En el primer capítulo, se realizará una breve introducción, se establecerán los antecedentes de la auditoría y cómo ha ido transformándose a través del tiempo. En el segundo capítulo, se definirán los conceptos principales de la auditoría financiera, auditoría de sistemas y las herramientas informáticas disponibles. En el tercer capítulo, se establecerá la metodología a utilizar en el presente trabajo de titulación. En el cuarto capítulo, con el fin de obtener conocimiento sobre la opinión de expertos acerca de las herramientas informáticas se seleccionaron profesionales de la práctica para realizar una encuesta y determinar la mejor herramienta informática a utilizar, así mismo se propondrán scripts para la ejecución de las pruebas más importantes de auditoría. Finalmente en el último capítulo se incluirán las conclusiones y recomendaciones del presente trabajo de titulación.
The objective of this research work is to establish the best computer tool for the execution of audit tests, so that small and medium audit firms in Guayaquil begin to use it, leaving behind the Excel tool. In the first chapter, we will make a brief introduction, the background of the audit will be established and we will determine how audit has been transformed over time. In the second chapter, the main concepts of financial auditing, systems auditing and the available computer tools will be defined. In the third chapter, the methodology to be used in the present titration work will be established. In the fourth chapter, in order to obtain knowledge on the opinion of experts about the computer tools, professionals of the practice were selected to carry out a survey and determine the best computer tool to be used, as well as scripts for the execution of the most important audit tests. Finally, in the last chapter we will include the conclusions and recommendations of this titling work.
