El virus papiloma humano es una enfermedad de trasmisión sexual , que se adquiere por tener relaciones sexuales con una persona infectada o promiscua, en la actualidad se habla mucho sobre esta infección , ya que estudios realizados a nivel mundial , indican que existe un alto nivel de personas infectadas por falta de prevención, puesto que esta enfermedad ataca más a mujeres que hombres cuya sintomatología son asintomáticas hasta no realizarse una valoración ginecológica y examen citológico que justifica la aparición como un eritema acompañado con prurito el cual se convierte en pápulas y está en su vez en verrugas, que pueden aparecer en áreas genitales, bucal, anal o en otro lugar del cuerpo estas se pueden presentar en meses o en algunos años. Por lo expuesto nuestro Objetivo es Determinar las caracteristicas epidemiologicas y clinicas del Virus Papiloma Humano en mujeres de 15 a 60 años que asisten al centro de salud de la ciudad de Guayaquil, el método utilizado fue descriptivo y cuantitativo el universo estuvo conformado por 70 paciente que asistieron a la consulta, se aplicó un instrumento basado en preguntas para la recolección de información llegando a obtener como resultado que un 50 % de las personas desconocen las sintomatología de esta infección y como Conclusión podemos mencionar que un gran porcentaje de las encuestadas no han recibido información de cómo prevenir esta enfermedad de transmisión sexual.
The human papilloma virus is a sexually transmitted disease, which is acquired by having sex with an infected or promiscuous person, nowadays there is a lot of talk about this infection, since studies carried out worldwide indicate that there is a high level of infected people for lack of prevention, since this disease attacks more women than men whose symptoms are asymptomatic until a gynecological evaluation and cytological examination that justifies the appearance as an erythema accompanied by pruritus which becomes papules and is in its Once in warts, which can appear in genital areas, buccal, anal or elsewhere in the body these can occur in months or in some years. Therefore our objective is to determine the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of Human Papilloma Virus in women aged 15 to 60 years attending the health center of the city of Guayaquil, the method used was descriptive and quantitative the universe was composed of 70 patients who attended the consultation, an instrument was applied based on questions for the collection of information reaching as a result that 50% of people are unaware of the symptoms of this infection and as a conclusion we can mention that a large percentage of the respondents have not received information on how to prevent this sexually transmitted disease.
