El presente trabajo de titulación “TeatroBiblioteca Bahía de Caráquez”surge de la necesidad del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado de Bahía de Caráquez, ya que en el terremoto del 16 de abril del 2017 la mayoría de sus construcciones fueron destruidas, entre ellos el antiguo teatro de la ciudad. Por ello gracias a la colaboración de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad Católica se procedió a presentar el proyecto como trabajo de titulación. El proyecto consiste en un Teatro con capacidad para 500 personas, además el proyecto deberá contener espacios destinados a otras actividades diferentes, entre ellas cafetería, biblioteca, talleres, administración. El proyecto esta ubicado en el centro histórico de la ciudad, sector activo económicamente antes del terremoto. Por ello el proyecto deberá reactivar la economía del sector, generando espacios públicos que puedan contener diferentes actividades tanto recreacionales como culturales.
The present titling work "Teatro Biblioteca Bahía de Caráquez" arises from the need of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of Bahía de Caráquez, since in the earthquake of April 16, 2017 the majority of its constructions were destroyed, among them the old theater of the city. Therefore, thanks to the collaboration of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Catholic University, the project was presented as a titling work. The project consists of a Theater with capacity for 500 people, in addition the project should contain spaces destined to other different activities, among them cafeteria, library, workshops, administration. The project is located in the historical center of the city, an economically active sector before the earthquake. Therefore, the project must reactivate the sector's economy, generating flexible public spaces that can contain different recreational and cultural activities.
