Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de un centro gerontológico en el cantón Portoviejo de la provincia de Manabí.

Description: La presente investigación está orientada a desarrollar un estudio de factibilidad para la creación de un centro gerontológico en el cantón Portoviejo de la provincia de Manabí, ya que no existe una oferta privada de este tipo en el cantón. Para ello, se aplica un diseño de investigación no experimental, de corte transversal, enfoque cuantitativo y la aplicación de encuestas a familiares de adultos mayores de la provincia de Manabí. Los resultados obtenidos reflejaron una demanda insatisfecha que junto a una evaluación económica y financiera da apertura a la factibilidad para la creación de un centro gerontológico con una inversión que está acorde a la capacidad de gestión que puede generar el centro.
His research is aimed at developing a feasibility study for the creation of a gerontological center in the Portoviejo canton of the Manabí province, since there is no private offer of this type in the canton. For this, a non-experimental research design, cross-sectional, quantitative approach and the application of surveys to relatives of older adults in the province of Manabí is applied. The results obtained reflected an unsatisfied demand that, together with an economic and financial evaluation, opens the feasibility for the creation of a gerontological center with an investment that is in line with the management capacity that the center can generate.
