Este estudio da a conocer la importancia de la leche materna en la nutrición durante los primeros años de vida, es clave para el desarrollo ponderal y psicomotor. Objetivo: Determinar la relación existente entre lactancia materna y su repercusión en el desarrollo ponderal y psicomotor de niños de 1 a 3 años que acuden a la guardería Caritas Alegres #115 durante el periodo Enero a Marzo 2019. Se determinó que la mayoría de los niños tienen un desarrollo ponderal Normal y representan el 62% de la muestra investigada; el 6% tienen desnutrición levé a moderada, 16% sobrepeso y otro 16% obesidad. Asimismo, el 93% de los preescolares presenta normal desarrollo psicomotor un 6% presentan un resultado dudoso y sólo el 1% de los preescolares muestran retraso.
This study reveals the importance of breast milk in nutrition during the first years of life; it is the key for weight and psychomotor development. Objective: To determine the relationship between breastfeeding and its impact on the weight and psychomotor development of children from 1 to 3 years of age who attend Caritas Alegres # 115 during the period from January to March 2019. It was determined that the majority of children they have a normal weight development and represent 62% of the sample investigated; 6% have mild to moderate malnutrition, 16% are overweight and another 16% are obese. Likewise, 93% of preschoolers present normal psychomotor development, 6% present a doubtful result and only 1% of preschoolers show delay.
