El diseño del presente libro “Salinas, más allá del mar” emana del escaso material sobre iconos culturales del Cantón. Existe información breve en el Departamento de Turismo del GAD Municipal de Salinas, la cual no ha sido suficiente para potenciar el turismo de Salinas a los niveles deseados. Se aplica la investigación documental para conseguir información de documentos impresos históricos de puntos culturales, turísticos y sociales relevantes que están siendo poco promovidos. Asimismo, se utiliza la metodología descriptiva de tipo cualitativo con una visión de entrevistas, observación no participante y grupos focales, para generar información externa necesaria y obtener otra perspectiva sobre el Cantón. Mediante criterios de diseño editorial y de edición de imágenes se crea un libro fotográfico informativo que contiene los puntos más representativos y poco explorados de Salinas.
The design of this book "Salinas, beyond the sea" originates from the scarce material on cultural icons of the Canton. There is brief information in the Tourism Department of the Municipal GAD of Salinas, which has not been sufficient to boost Salinas tourism to the desired levels. Documentary research is applied to obtain information from historical printed documents of relevant cultural, tourist and social points that are being under-promoted. Likewise, the descriptive methodology of qualitative type is used with a vision of interviews, non-participant observation and focus groups, to generate necessary external information and obtain other perspective on the Canton. An informative photographic book containing the most representative points of Salinas is created through editorial design and image editing criteria.
