En la actualidad según la estadísticas dadas por el Consejo Nacional para la Igual de Discapacidades (CONADIS) existen un total de 55,669 personas registradas con discapacidad física, mental o visual en Guayaquil; y un total de 8,475 personas con discapacidad fueron reportadas como desaparecidas en los últimos tres años en Guayaquil según la Dirección Nacional de Investigación e Incidencia en Políticas Púbicas (DNIIP).Cabe indicar que actualmente la mayoría de las personas con discapacidad cuentan o desconocen de un mecanismo de localización personalizada, en la actualidad existen mecanismos de ubicación depersonas muy costos o que requieren de un celular inteligente como lo son aplicaciones móviles para el rastreo de personas, si bien es una alternativa para la ubicación de las personas con discapacidad, pero se tiene un costo alto en cuanto adquirir un celular inteligente, resistente al agua o golpes, además de contar con un plan obligatorio de internet para el rastreo respectivo. De acuerdo al problema mencionado se sugiere el uso de un dispositivo GPS/GPRS con botón de pánico que las personas con discapacidad.
At present, according to the statistics given by the National Council for Equal Disabilities (CONADIS), there are a total of 55,669registered persons with physical, mental or visual disabilities in Guayaquil; and a total of 8,475 people with disabilities were reported as missing in the last three years inGuayaquil according to the National Directorate for Research and Advocacy in Public Policies (DNIIP). It should be noted that currently most people with disabilities have or do not know about a personalized location mechanism, currently there are mechanisms for locating people that are very costly or that require an intelligent cell phone asare mobile applications for people tracking, although it is an alternative for the location of people with disabilities, but It has a high cost in terms of acquiring a smart phone, waterproof or shock, in addition to having a mandatory internet plan for the respective tracking. According to the problem mentioned, the use of a GPS / GPRS device with a panic button is suggested for people with disabilities.
