La inclusión de personas sordo mudas es una necesidad que se encuentra presente en las distintas instituciones publica y privadas del Ecuador, por tal motivo este proyecto de titulación presenta una alternativa para solucionar esta problemática de manera eficiente y eficaz. La solución presentada es un equipo portátil que permita la traducción de texto a lenguaje de señas por medio de un brazo robótico que permitirá la interacción del personal de atención al cliente con las personas sordo mudas, alcanzando un nivel de comprensión del 99% entre el emisor y el receptor. El equipo funciona por medio de una mano robótica que es la que se encarga de transmitir el mensaje, previamente escrito en la computadora, por medio de señas en tiempo real. Se concluye que el prototipo implementado de una mano robótica que permita traducir palabras en señas, es una solución viable, económica y buena para empezar a tener prácticas de inclusión con personas sordo – mudas en centros regulares de atención al cliente tanto públicos como privados.
The inclusion of deaf mute people is a necessity that is present in the different public and private institutions of Ecuador, for this reason this degree project presents an alternative to solve this problem efficiently and effectively. The solution presented is a portable device that allows the translation of text into sign language by means of a robotic arm that will allow the interaction of customer service personnel with deaf people, reaching a 99% level of understanding between the issuer and the receiver. The equipment works by means of a robotic hand that is responsible for transmitting the message, previously written on the computer, by means of real-time signs. It is concluded that the prototype implemented of a robotic hand that allows to translate words into signs, is a viable, economical and good solution to start having inclusion practices with deaf people - in regular public and private customer service centers.
