El objetivo de nuestra tesis es analizar cómo la música y la acción se relacionan para la musicalización de un tráiler de un videojuego llamado “Avatar, Frontiers of Pandora”, analizando las técnicas del compositor Bear McCreary y la aplicación de estos en el videojuego “God of War (2018)”. Para ilustrar esto, se ha elegido y analizado la estructura y composición de tres temas de la banda sonora llamados, “God of War”, “Memories of Mother” y “Deliverance”; dando como resultado la obtención de leitmotivs los cuales nos permitieron representar la majestuosidad del mundo de “Pandora”. El tráiler es un elemento clave en la promoción y marketing de un juego, ya que tiene el objetivo de atraer la atención del público y generar interés en el juego. La música juega un papel importante en esto, ya que puede ayudar a crear un ambiente emocional y darle una personalidad al juego. La técnica de Bear McCreary utiliza elementos de la música tradicional y étnica para lograr un sonido único y emocionante.
The objective of the project is to analyze how music and action are related for the musicalization of a trailer for a video game called "Avatar, Frontiers of Pandora", analyzing the techniques of composer Bear McCreary and their application in the video game "God of War (2018)”. To illustrate this, the structure and composition of three songs from the soundtrack of the video game "God of War (2018)" called, "God of War", Memories of Mother" and "Deliverance" have been chosen and analyzed. The trailer of a video game is a key element in the promotion and marketing of a game since it has the objective of attracting the attention of the public and generating interest in the game. Music plays an important role in this, as it can help set an emotional mood and give the game a personality. Bear McCreary's technique uses elements of traditional and ethnic music to achieve a unique and exciting sound.
