On the scenario of International Relations, states have followed a series of behavioral patterns that have conditioned their actions against other States and international organisms of global governance in certain historical circumstances, these patterns have been systematized by writers and scholars of international relations which have allowed the construction of theories in order to explain these models of conduct. Initial theories such as realism and idealism have tried to explain the phenomenon of relations between States and the rules governing their action and political positions since its conception. The theory of realism and neorealism as a complement of the first, have been widely accepted in their considerations through this and its predecessor´s analysis of the influence of the Great Powers in armed conflicts in recent years, mainly those occurred in the Near and Middle East, to especially explain the relationship between theories and the feasibility in recent cases of interventions of two mayor world powers such as the case of the United States and its interests in Syria as well as the case of the Russian Federation and its interventions in Ukraine.
En el escenario de las relaciones internacionales los estados han seguido una serie de patrones de comportamiento que han supeditado su accionar frente a otros Estados y organismos internaciones de gobierno global en determinadas circunstancias históricas, estos patrones han sido sistematizados por tratadistas y estudiosos de la ciencia de la raciones internacionales lo que les ha permitido la construcción de teorías con la finalidad de explicar estos modos de conducta. Teorías iniciales como el realismo, el idealismo, han intentado exponer desde su concepción el fenómeno de las relaciones entre los Estados y las reglas que rigen su actuación y posición política. Las teoría del realismo, y neorrealismo como una complementación de la primera, han sido de gran aceptación en sus consideraciones, a través de esta y de su progenitora se presenta el análisis de la influencia de las potencias en los conflictos armados de los últimos años, acontecidos principalmente en oriente próximo y medio, sobre todo esta relación entre teorías y hechos aplicable a los recientes casos de intervenciones de los dos grandes potencias mundiales como el caso de Estados Unidos y sus interés en Siria, así como el caso de la Federación de Rusia, y sus intervenciones en Ucrania.
