Propuesta de mejora del proceso de apertura de cuentas de una agencia bancaria mediante la aplicación de value stream mapping

Continuous improvement is the basis of all organizations that seek to increase their level of competitiveness, which is why the organization through its managers must promote growth and innovation in management and operational processes, which allow continuous improvement to be an advantage over the target market in which the organization competes. Within the present work of certification, has like objective propose an improvement in the process of opening of accounts by means of the application of the tool value stream mapping. The banking institution, in which the study of this work was carried out, is cataloged within the largest financial institutions in Ecuador, with its headquarters located in the city of Quito. By increasing the competitiveness of the financial market, the organization has placed more than 700 ATMs and around 200 banking agencies located in the city of Quito. Its star product or of greater affluence of clients, is the opening of accounts since it represents the first filter for the entrance of the flow of cash to the coffers of the financial institution, this reason was evaluated and determined that it has been chosen for the study of the work. The degree work seeks to meet the objectives that were raised, through the execution of several important activities such as: completion of the process, layout, characterization of the process and preparation of the process map of the banking institution. For the analysis, the following was carried out: work study, time taking, calculation of the cycle time, current value mapping and simulation of the current process. Additionally, the causes were analyzed through: 7 Lean Bank waste, Pareto 80-20 and Ishikawa diagrams. Through the application of each of the aforementioned activities, an improvement is expected in the process of opening accounts and a reduction in operating time.
El mejoramiento continuo es la base de todas las organizaciones que buscan incrementar su nivel de competitividad, por lo cual la organización a través de sus directivos debe impulsar el crecimiento y la innovación en los procesos gerenciales y operativos, lo cuales permiten que el mejoramiento continuo sea una ventaja frente al mercado objetivo en el cual compite la organización. Dentro del presente trabajo de titulación, se tiene como objetivo proponer una mejora en el proceso de apertura de cuentas mediante la aplicación de la herramienta value stream mapping. La institución bancaria, en la que se realizó el estudio de este trabajo, se encuentra catalogada dentro de las instituciones financieras más grandes del Ecuador, con su oficina matriz ubicada en la ciudad de Quito. Al incrementar la competitividad del mercado financiero, la organización ha colocado más de 700 cajeros automáticos y alrededor de 200 agencias bancarias ubicadas en la ciudad de Quito. Su producto estrella o de mayor afluencia de clientes, es la apertura de cuentas ya que representa el primer filtro para el ingreso del flujo de efectivo a las arcas de la institución financiera, dicho motivo fue evaluado y determino que se ha elegido para el estudio del trabajo. El trabajo de titulación busca cumplir los objetivos que se plantearon, a través de la ejecución de varias actividades importantes como: levamiento de proceso, diagramación, caracterización del proceso y elaboración del mapa de procesos de la institución bancaria. Para el análisis se realizó: estudio de trabajo, toma de tiempos, cálculo del tiempo de ciclo, value stream mapping actual y simulación del proceso actual. Adicionalmente se analizó las causas a través de: 7 Desperdicios de Lean Bank, Pareto 80-20 y diagramas Ishikawa. Mediante la aplicación de cada una de las actividades antes mencionadas, se espera una mejora en el proceso de apertura de cuentas y una disminución en el tiempo de operación.
