This thesis developed where the now existing airport Mariscal Sucre, with an urban intervention in landing strip and its urban edge, the urban master plan main idea is to integrate the city with an Urban Park, creating a new centrality in the Quito. For the design there were 6 main components to evolve with the entire museum, there are: Urban, Architectonic, Technological, Structural, Environmental and Landscape. By an investigation of the site, people and everything about this place, there were several ideas about the master plan, choosing the one that goes better with the landscape and architecture inside the Park. The museum contributes with the science and technology diffusion in Quito, creating a new place to learn and extend knowledge.
Este trabajo de tesis desarrollado en el sector del actual “Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre”, cuenta con una intervención urbana tanto en el área de la pista como en el su entorno inmediato, la propuesta cuenta con la integración de un Parque Urbano dentro del Distrito Metropolitano, generando así una nueva centralidad en la ciudad. Se toma en cuenta el componente Urbano, Arquitectónico, Tecnológico, Estructural, Medio ambiental y Paisajístico para obtener un proyecto completo. Mediante la investigación del medio físico, social, económico del sector se llegan a determinar diferentes planes masa, escogiendo así el que más se acople con la idea paisajística del parque. Este proyecto promueve la difusión de la ciencia y la tecnología en la zona y en la ciudad de Quito, generando así un nuevo centro de enseñanza y conocimiento.
