Los significados de violencia construidos por los adolescentes entre 14-18 años de edad de una fundación ubicada al noroccidente de Quito durante el año lectivo 2015-2016

During this investigation, which was elaborated with a qualitative, transversal and descriptive approach, six Semi-structured interviews were conducted to teenager men and women that were at the age of 14 and 18 years. The topics discussed during these interviews were related to violence, types of violence, family, school and neighborhood environments. The general objective of this investigation was to describe the construction of the significance of violence for the subjects that were studied. The specific objectives of this investigation were to; discover the difference between the perception of violence of each subject, unveil the types of violence they know and the influence of violence on each subject according to the context of their lives, either family or neighborhood. En este estudio con enfoque cualitativo, de tipo transversal y con alcance descriptivo, se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a 6 participantes hombres y mujeres de edades de entre 14-18 años, donde se habló sobre la violencia, los tipos de violencia, su familia, su escuela y su barrio. El objetivo general de esta investigación pretendía describir la construcción del significado de violencia de estos adolescentes. En cuanto a los objetivos específicos, se quería ver la diferencia de la percepción de cada participante en cuanto a la violencia, los tipos de violencia que conocen y la influencia que recibe el participante por parte de su contexto, ya sea familiar o del barrio. El estudio mostró la influencia que percibe el adolescente por parte de su familia y su barrio, al momento de construir el significado de violencia. Además, mencionaron conceptos como golpear, agredir, insultar, humillar e incluso defenderse para llegar a una definición de violencia.
