The solution of one of the problems that most afflict our patients, the sensitivity, leads us to try to verify if the use of (IDS) Immediate dentin sealing. Favors the decrease the sensitivity during stay time with Provisionals when performing indirect prostheses. A random, double blind, live study was performed in. which as a general objective to assess the level of postoperative sensitivity reduction with the use of Immediate Dentin Sealing on indirect restorations. Based on an AVS scale further verify the presence and severity of sensitivity immediately after preparation, as well as the percentage benefit of using IDS or not. Method: We selected 70 vital dental pieces that did not have previous indirect treatments and that their preparation left exposed dentin healthy, they were randomly divided in two groups in which some received a conventional treatment for restoration with indirect prostheses and the other group received a treatment with IDS, each group was evaluated using an analogous Visual Scale AVS which gave us the following Results: the group that was treated conventionally reduced sensitivity by 25 percent while the group that was treated with SDI had a 83 percent reduction Which gives us as Conclusion: The use of IDS as a method in our daily practice is a great alternative not only for its fantastic physical properties but also for the great benefit in reducing sensitivity experienced by patients during the period with provisional.
El resolver uno de los problemas que más aquejan a los pacientes, la sensibilidad, nos lleva a tratar de verificar si el uso de Sellado Dentinário Inmediato (SDI) favorece a la disminución de la sensibilidad durante en tiempo de estancia con provisionales cuando realizamos prótesis de tipo indirectos. Se realizó un estudio EN VIVO, ALEATORIO, DOBLE CIEGO en el cual como Objetivo general Valorar el nivel de reducción de sensibilidad postoperatoria con el uso de Sellado Dentinário Inmediato en restauraciones indirectas tipo Inlay – onlays. En base a una escala EVA además verificar la presencia y severidad de sensibilidad inmediatamente después de la preparación, así como el beneficio porcentual de usar o no el SDI. Método: Se eligieron 70 piezas dentales vitales que no tengan tratamientos indirectos previos y que su preparación deje expuesta dentina sana, se los dividió aleatoriamente en dos grupos en los cuales unos recibieron un tratamiento convencional para restauración con prótesis indirectas y el otro grupo recibió un tratamiento con SDI, cada grupo fue evaluado mediante una EVA Escala Visual análoga lo que nos otorgó los siguientes Resultados: el grupo que fue tratado convencionalmente redujo la sensibilidad en un 25 porciento mientras que el grupo que fue tratado con SDI tuvo una reducción del 83 porciento lo que nos da como Conclusión: El Uso de SDI como método en la práctica diaria es una gran alternativa no solo por sus propiedades físicas sino también por el gran beneficio en reducción de sensibilidad experimentado por los pacientes durante el periodo con provisionales.
