It is necessary to recognize that the first 1000 days of a child are crucial, it is of vital importance to detect any type of nutritional problem. The objective of the research is to make a nutritional diagnosis in children under 5 years old in the community of San Juan de Llullundongo, Guanujo parish in the period August-October 2018. The methodology of the study is non-experimental descriptive cross-sectional, seeks to know the characteristics of a population in relation to nutritional conditions in a given time, of qualitative-quantitative type since it will be known from a theoretical aspect those components that form the object of study. The boys and girls that make up the sample were 95 minors that have been known: Weight for the length; 7% overweight, possible risk of overweight 10%, normal weight 63%, emaciado 17% and severely emaciado 3%. Weight for size: obese 1%, overweight 5%, possible risk of overweight 12%, normal weight 80% and emaciado 2%. Length / height for the age: normal size 31%, low size 33% and low size severe 36%. But for age: normal 76%, low weight 15%, and low severe weight 9% BMI for age: obese 3%, overweight 5%, possible risk of overweight 18%, normal 71%, emaciado 2% and severely wasted 1% It is concluded that children under 5 years represent 10% of the total population of this community, the factor that has the greatest impact on the nutrition of children under 5 years old is the economic one since the majority of Parents indicate that the monthly income that is received is around 50 and 100 dollars per month and that their occupation is agriculture. Es necesario reconocer que los primeros 1000 días de un niño son cruciales, es de vital importancia detectar cualquier tipo de problema nutricional. La investigación se plantea el Objetivo de realizar un diagnóstico nutricional en las niñas/os menores de 5 años en la comunidad de San Juan de Llullundongo, parroquia Guanujo en el periodo agosto -octubre del 2018. La metodología del estudio es de tipo no experimental transversal descriptivo, busca conocer las características de una población en relación a las condiciones nutricionales en un tiempo determinado, de tipo cuali-cuantitativa ya que se conocerá desde un aspecto teórico aquellos componentes que forman el objeto de estudio. Los niños y niñas que conforman la muestra fueron 95 menores de los que se ha logrado conocer: Peso para la longitud; 7% de sobrepeso, posible riesgo de sobrepeso 10%, peso normal 63%, emaciado 17% y severamente emaciado 3%. Peso para la talla: obeso 1%, sobrepeso 5%, posible riesgo de sobrepeso 12%, peso normal 80% y emaciado 2%. Longitud/talla para la edad: talla normal 31%, baja talla 33% y baja talla severa 36%. Pero para la edad: normal 76%, bajo peso 15%, y bajo peso severo 9% IMC para la edad: obeso 3%, sobrepeso 5%, posible riesgo de sobrepeso 18%, normal 71%, emaciado 2% y severamente emaciado 1% Se concluye que los niños y niñas menores de 5 años representan el 10% del total de la población de esta comunidad, el factor que tiene mayor impacto en la nutrición de los niños /as menores de 5 años es el económico ya que la mayoría de padres de familia indican que el ingreso mensual que se percibe es alrededor de 50 y 100 dólares mensuales y que su ocupación es la agricultura.
