The Ecuadorian E.G.B poses in the output profile of student’s characteristics related to the development of critical thinking, which is why that reasoning and other cognitive skills in nature are essential for meaningful learning access and functional. Critical thinking is the intellectual ability to analyze or evaluate proposed structure and consistency of reasoning, is that attitude that allows us to distinguish between positive and negative aspects of different situations or circumstances. The degree work "DEVELOPMENT OF CRITICAL THINKING LEARNING AND SIGNIFICANT freshmen general basic education, the National College NIGHT" FLOR MARIA INFANTE "OF CANTON San Miguel, PROVINCE DURING BOLIVAR, the 2011 Academic Year -2012 Originated in the need to implement strategies to promote and develop this kind of thinking in students in the ninth year of basic education. Once the field investigation, it was determined the limited capacity of students' arguments and other aspects that need improvement through teacher's pedagogical practice. Therefore, the proposal includes a number of teaching strategies and methodologies that promote the development of critical thinking through reasoning, argumentation and assessment of thoughts, ideas, judgments, etc. Consequently, the work presented here, is a practical guide for teachers and other education professionals, whose ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of critical thinking and the improvement of teaching practice.
La Educación General Básica Ecuatoriana plantea en el perfil de salida de los estudiantes características relacionadas con el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico, es por ello, que el razonamiento y otras habilidades de carácter cognitivo, son esenciales, para acceder a aprendizajes significativos y funcionales. Es el pensamiento crítico la capacidad intelectual que se propone analizar o evaluar la estructura y consistencia de los razonamientos, es aquella actitud que nos permite discernir entre los aspectos negativos y positivos de diferentes situaciones o circunstancias. El trabajo de grado“ EL DESARROLLO DEL PENSAMIENTO CRITICO PARA EL APRENDIZAJE SIGNIFICATIVO DE LAS Y LOS ESTUDIANTES DEL NOVENO AÑO DE EDUCACIÓN GENERAL BÁSICA, DEL COLEGIO NACIONAL NOCTURNO “FLOR MARÍA INFANTE”, DEL CANTÓN SAN MIGUEL, PROVINCIA BOLÍVAR, AÑO LECTIVO 2011-2012. Se originó en la necesidad de implementar estrategias que permitan fomentar y desarrollar esta clase de pensamiento en los estudiantes del noveno Año de Educación Básica. Una vez realizada la investigación de campo, se logró determinar la limitada capacidad de argumentación de los estudiantes, así como, otros aspectos que necesitan ser mejorados a través de la práctica pedagógica del docente. Es por ello, que la propuesta contempla una serie de estrategias didácticas y metodológicas que promueven el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico a través del razonamiento, la argumentación y valoración de pensamientos, ideas, juicios, etc. En consecuencia, el trabajo aquí expuesto, es una guía práctica dirigida a los docentes y demás profesionales de la educación, cuyo fin último es contribuir al desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y al mejoramiento de la práctica docente.
