Descriptive research, APPLICATION OF THE PROTOCOL OF NURSING CARE IN USERS ENTRYED WITH INTOXICATION BY TOXIC SUBSTANCES THAT CAUSE MORBI-MORTALITY; INTERNAL MEDICINE SERVICE OF THE HOSPITAL ALFREDO NOBOA MONTENEGRO, CIUDAD GUARANDA, JANUARY 2013 - DECEMBER 2016. It is a subject that covers the fulfillment or the use of protocols as guides that guide the therapeutical action of nursing to the intoxicated patient since the intoxication is a problem of great importance because they cause morbidity and mortality. The objective of this research is to verify the execution of nursing care protocols in patients with intoxication by toxic substances that cause morbidity and mortality in patients admitted to the internal medicine service. In order to comply with this objective, an ambispective and descriptive study was conducted with a non-probabilistic sample using instruments such as: surveys, observation guides and data collection sheets. As a result, it is verified that in the internal medicine service, the protocol of care for intoxicated patients is not applied to 100%, since the care provided by the nurse is guided in the problems presented by the patient, in order to comply with the medical prescriptions. La investigación descriptiva, APLICACIÓN DEL PROTOCOLO DE ATENCIÓN DE ENFERMERÍA EN USUARIOS INGRESADOS CON INTOXICACIÓN POR SUSTANCIAS TÓXICAS QUE CAUSAN MORBI-MORTALIDAD; SERVICIO DE MEDICINA INTERNA DEL HOSPITAL ALFREDO NOBOA MONTENEGRO, CIUDAD GUARANDA, ENERO 2013 - DICIEMBRE 2016. Es una temática que abarca el cumplimiento o la utilización de protocolos como guías que direccionen la actuación terapéutica de enfermería al paciente intoxicado puesto que la intoxicación es un problema de salud de gran importancia debido a que causan morbilidad y mortalidad. El objetivo de esta investigación es comprobar la ejecución del protocolo de atención de enfermería en pacientes con intoxicación por sustancias tóxicas que causan morbilidad y mortalidad en usuarios ingresados al servicio de medicina interna. Para dar cumplimento a este objetivo se realizó un estudio de forma ambispéctivo y descriptiva con una muestra no probabilística utilizando instrumentos como: encuestas, guías de observación y fichas de recolección de datos. Como resultado se comprueba que en el servicio de medicina interna no se aplica al 100% el protocolo de atención para paciente intoxicado, puesto que la atención que brinda la enfermera/o se guía en los problemas que presenta el paciente, para dar cumplimiento a las prescripciones médicas.
