In the present research work a situational analysis was carried out in the city of Ibarra about the trafficking of persons for the purpose of sexual exploitation, with all the information collected and analyzed, it was proposed to create a Prevention Plan for the trafficking of persons for the purpose of sexual exploitation The research project consists of three chapters, the first one compiled the necessary national and international bibliographic and regulatory information to understand the crime of trafficking in persons, on the other hand, the proposal of the prevention plan based on the human rights approach. In the second chapter is the type of research used that was the participation action, together with the methods used inductive, analytical, synthetic, it is important to establish that the techniques and instruments applied was the structured interview under an interview script. In the third chapter the results are analyzed, it is evident that there is a problem with dissemination of information by government or state institutions, since although there is an orientation route and a manual prepared by several public institutions, they have not prevented through dissemination campaigns, so it is necessary to contribute with the prevention plan in which dissemination will be developed from the Legal Observatory for the surveillance and protection of collective rights of the Otavalo University.
En el presente trabajo de investigación se realizó un análisis situacional en el cantón Ibarra acerca de la trata de personas con fines de explotación sexual, con toda la información recabada y analizada se propuso crear un Plan de prevención para la trata de personas con fines de explotación sexual. El proyecto de investigación se encuentra formado por tres capítulos, en el primero se recopiló la información bibliográfica y normativa necesaria nacional como internacional para comprender el delito de trata de personas, por otro lado, se sustentó teóricamente la propuesta del plan de prevención en base al enfoque de derechos humanos. En el segundo capítulo se encuentra el tipo de investigación utilizada que fue la acción participación, junto a los métodos utilizados inductivo, analítico, sintético, es importante establecer que las técnicas e instrumentos aplicados fue la entrevista estructurada bajo un guion de entrevista. En el tercer capítulo se analizan los resultados, se evidencia que existe un problema con socialización de información por parte de las instituciones gubernamentales o estatales, ya que pese a que existe una ruta de orientación y un manual elaborado por varias instituciones públicas, estas no han prevenido a través de campañas de socialización, por lo que, es necesario aportar con el plan de prevención en el que se desarrollará la socialización desde el Observatorio jurídico para la vigilancia y protección de derechos colectivos de la Universidad Otavalo.
