The present thesis examines the relationship or not between Domestic Violence and Citizen Participation. The thesis begins by giving a context of family violence in Ecuador, shows figures for the prevalence of this problem and raises the question of Investigation. Later, comes the definition of terms, which will help to understand different types of terminologies used in the thesis. At the core of the thesis, analyzes the Independent Variable and Dependent Variable, to show whether there is a connection between these two. In order to this, the thesis shows conduct surveys, elite interviews and review of documentation and literature, which give greater strength to the findings. Finally, are the conclusions about the evidence found during the investigation.
Esta Tesis analiza la relación que existe, o no, entre la Violencia Doméstica y la Participación Ciudadana. La Tesis comienza dando un contexto de la Violencia intrafamiliar en el Ecuador, muestra cifras de la prevalencia de esta problemática y plantea la pregunta de Investigación. Posteriormente, se procede a la definición de términos, los cuales ayudarán a comprender diferentes tipos de terminologías utilizadas en la Tesis. En la parte medular de la tesis se analizan la Variable Independiente y la Variable Dependiente, para demostrar si existe relación alguna entre estas dos. Para esto se realizan encuestas, entrevistas de élite y revisión de documentación y literatura, lo cual dará mayor robustez a los resultados encontrados. Finalmente, se presentan conclusiones acerca de las evidencias encontradas durante la investigación.
