From the 70's, numerous studies have been conducted worldwide to identify the relationship between corporate social responsibility and motivation of consumers toward certain products. The results of these studies were not cohesive; therefore they are still student yet. This thesis refers to the responsibility from both the business and from the social field. The main objective of this research was the identification of the principles of social responsibility in the country. The study is characterized as exploratory and descriptive, obviously with an emphasis on qualitative analysis, using secondary data. It was possible to understand corporate social responsibility in Ecuador and in the world as it detailed many important variables such as focus, definition and presence.
Desde la década de los 70, numerosos estudios se han realizado en todo el mundo intentando hallar la relación que existe entre la responsabilidad social corporativa y la motivación del consumidor hacia ciertos productos. Los resultados de estos estudios no han sido homogéneos, por esta razón todavía se los sigue estudiando. En esta tesis se hace referencia a la responsabilidad tanto desde el ámbito empresarial como desde el ámbito social. El objetivo principal de esta investigación consistió en la identificación de los principios de la responsabilidad social en el país. El estudio se caracteriza como exploratorio y descriptivo, obviamente con énfasis en análisis cualitativo, usando datos secundarios. Fue posible entender la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa en el Ecuador y en el mundo ya que se detalló muchas variables importantes como enfoque, definición y presencia.
