This study aims to demonstrate the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the Territorial, mainly in the diagnostic phase of the System Development Plan Environmental and Land of the Province of Loja and analyzed through secondary sources its features official structural and functional nature, potential, limitations, fragility and vulnerability of the territory. On the other hand as a complementary input for this research seeks generate based and thematic mapping at provincial environmental system scale 1:50000. The final result of the analysis of the environmental assessment and in combination with other systems (economic, human settlements, energy mobility and connectivity) is to develop a model Territorial Current and trend scenarios, probable and desired by GIS tools and create environmental indicators serve as input for the generation of policies, proposals and programs that enhance the quality of life of the inhabitants of the province and the conservation of natural resources.
Este estudio pretende demostrar el uso de los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) en el Ordenamiento Territorial, principalmente en la fase de diagnóstico del Sistema Ambiental del Plan de Desarrollo y Ordenamiento Territorial de la Provincia de Loja y analizar a través de fuentes secundarias oficiales sus características naturales estructurales y funcionales, potencialidades, limitaciones, la fragilidad y vulnerabilidad del territorio. Por otro lado como insumo complementario para esta investigación, se busca generar cartografía base y temática a nivel provincial del sistema ambiental a escala 1:50000. Como resultado final del análisis realizado del diagnóstico ambiental y en combinación con otros sistemas (económico, asentamientos humanos, movilidad energía y conectividad), se pretende desarrollar un Modelo Territorial Actual y escenarios tendencial, probable y deseado a través de herramientas SIG y crear indicadores ambientales que sirvan como insumo para la generación de políticas, propuestas y programas que permitan mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes de la provincia así como la conservación de los recursos naturales.
