Influencia del gobierno venezolano de Hugo Chavez en las políticas domésticas e internacionales del gobierno ecuatoriano de Rafael Correa

Latin America has experienced several political stages throughout its history, but during the last decades of the twentieth century many Latin American countries had to face strong economic and political crisis that triggered a series of phenomena, including a return to the left . This return to socialist revolution framed in the romance of the Cuban feat more than half a century ago, has also meant the emergence of new political leaders who have marked an epoch in the region. The most representative figure of this political phenomenon has been Hugo Chavez, Venezuela's president, who wanted to project itself as a regional leader by promoting its own policies in other countries in the region such as Bolivia and Nicaragua. However, Ecuador has also been one of the recipients of the influence of Hugo Chavez. Some common history and ideological affinity has allowed that Venezuelan political system can be exported to Ecuador. This thesis attempts to analyze the areas in which this influence has been strongest and under what conditions the influence relationship has determined the political line of the Ecuadorian government for the past five years.
América Latina ha vivido varias etapas políticas a lo largo de su historia, sin embargo durante las últimas décadas del siglo XX muchos países en latinoamericanos tuvieron que afrontar una fuerte crisis económica y política que desencadenó una serie de fenómenos; entre ellos un regreso hacia la izquierda. Este retorno hacia la revolución socialista enmarcada en el romanticismo de la hazaña cubana hace más de medio siglo, ha significado también el surgimiento de nuevos líderes políticos que han marcado una época en la región. La figura más representativa de este fenómeno político ha sido Hugo Chávez, presidente de Venezuela, quien ha querido proyectarse como líder regional a través de la promoción de su línea política en otros países de la región como Bolivia y Nicaragua. Sin embargo, Ecuador también ha sido uno de los países receptores de la influencia de Hugo Chávez. Cierta historia común y afinidad ideológica ha hecho posible que el sistema político venezolano pueda ser exportado hacia Ecuador. En esta Tesis trata de analizar en qué ámbitos esta influencia ha sido más fuerte y en qué condiciones la relación de influencia ha determinado la línea política del gobierno ecuatoriano durante los últimos cinco años.
