La ilustración de moda son dibujos, esquemas, bosquejos, bocetos o pinturas que se relacionen con la moda, sin embargo existe deficiente producción nacional y regional con respecto al tema, en la actualidad se puede encontrar registros de varios países que se encuentran en el repositorio de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato en el campo del diseño e ilustración, registros que trascienden en el tiempo se posee un gran valor para el estudio de técnica, etc. se puede encontrar variedad de libros que van desde portafolios de ilustraciones, cuadernos de bocetos, sketch book, libros de ilustración del cuerpo humano, anatomía de la moda, libros direccionados al aprendizaje paso a paso para imitar texturas y sin número de publicaciones independientes de diseñadores y sus portafolios personales; pero se ha notado que inclusive en estos datos bibliográficos es carente productos o libros que traten sobre la ilustración de moda infantil específicamente, y una inexistencia de producción nacional con respecto al tema lo cual genera un vacío documental y genera una falta de identidad propia. Aun así existen ilustraciones infantiles las cuales no son dirigidas a moda, sino a cuentos para niños con ilustraciones muy elaboradas de diseño, por lo cual la ilustración de moda infantil dirigida a la academia en la carrera de modas es un campo poco explotado; con lo cual se tiene como objetivo analizar a varios autores del medio para posteriormente analizas las técnicas que aplican y que las mismas influencien a un la creación de un nueva metodología de fácil comprensión para ilustración infantil de moda. Finalmente se recopilarán las técnicas de ilustración direccionadas para ilustración infantil en un catálogo de moda que resalte las técnicas paso a paso para la representación de texturas en indumentaria.

Even so there are children's illustrations which are not directed to fashion, but to stories for children with very elaborate illustrations of design, for which the illustration of children's fashion directed to the academy in the fashion career is a little exploited field; which aims to analyze several authors of the medium and then analyze the techniques that apply and that influence the creation of a new methodology easy to understand child fashion illustration. Finally, the illustration techniques addressed to children's illustration will be presented in a fashion catalog that highlights step-by-step techniques for the representation of textures in clothing.
