El calzado es uno de los complementos del vestuario de gran utilidad y su uso se ha extendido a través de los años. Al inicio los zapatos eran simples bolsas de cuero usados para cubrir los pies de las inclemencias del clima, los escombros y demás objetos que se puedan hallar en el entorno. Sin embargo, desde el siglo XX hasta el día de hoy, las técnicas de elaboración, así como los materiales utilizados han ido mejorando progresivamente; por lo mismo, en el mercado internacional se puede encontrar una extensa variedad de calzados, cómodos, de calidad y con precios de acuerdo al poder adquisitivo del cliente. Sin embargo, en la provincia de Tungurahua no existe gran innovación en cuanto al calzado en cuero; por lo cual, el presente proyecto se centra en la elaboración de calzados con técnicas de repujado dirigido a mujeres de 25 a 30 años, debido a que las técnicas artesanales antes mencionadas son poco comunes en el mercado local; pero añaden valor al producto. Por ello, se trabajará con artesanos calificados y especializados en el área de repujado. Estas colaboraciones promueven un comercio justo con la correspondencia precio-calidad. Así mismo, para determinar el tipo de zapato a realizar, materiales, detalles adicionales, entre otros aspectos; se realizan encuestas y entrevistas. Finalmente, mediante la suma de conocimientos entre el diseñador y el artesano; y el uso adecuado y fusión de todos los elementos que conforman el diseño; se pretende innovar y generar productos cómodos, llamativos, funcionales y de alta calidad; que cubran las necesidades de la mujer actual.
Footwear is one of the accessories of the wardrobe of great utility and its use has spread over the years. At first the shoes were simple leather bags used to cover the feet of the inclement weather, debris and other objects that can be found in the environment. However, from the twentieth century to the present day, the processing techniques as well as the materials used have been progressively improving; for the same reason, in the international market you can find a wide variety of footwear, comfortable, quality and with prices according to the purchasing power of the client. However, in the province of Tungurahua there is no great innovation in leather footwear; therefore, this project focuses on the development of footwear with embossing techniques aimed at women aged 25 to 30 years, because the aforementioned artisanal techniques are rare in the local market; but they add value to the product. For this reason, we will work with qualified and specialized craftsmen in the embossing area. These collaborations promote fair trade with price-quality correspondence. Likewise, to determine the type of shoe to be made, materials, additional details, among other aspects; surveys and interviews are conducted. Finally, through the sum of knowledge between the designer and the craftsman; and the proper use and fusion of all the elements that make up the design; it is intended to innovate and generate comfortable, eye-catching, functional and high quality products; to meet the needs of today's women.
