CHALLENGES IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A QUALITY CULTURE IN HIGHER EDUCATIONRESUMENLas estrategias de acreditación en las Universidades, propenden y a la vez se sustentan en el desarrollo de la cultura de la calidad en la comunidad universitaria que comprendan los diferentes procesos formativos y de aseguramiento institucional, en aras de lograr la pertinencia en la formación integral de los egresados, como profesionales y ciudadanos competentes para desempeñarse en su entorno social, de manera que la acreditación se constituye en el proceso legítimo en el devenir universitario en aras de alcanzar la pertinencia e impacto social de sus resultados. Es así que la acreditación universitaria se proyecta hoy, como un sistema que dinamiza el quehacer universitario, para lo cual se requiere que la comunidad universitaria en su conjunto, alcance una integridad, pertinencia y en general calidad, que la hacen merecedora de la confianza y credibilidad ante la sociedad. En síntesis, acreditar significa ganar confianza de la sociedad y en la propia comunidad universitaria.Palabras claves: Calidad; Acreditación; Gestión de la calidad.ABSTRACTThe strategies of accreditation in the universities, tended and at the same time are based on the development of the culture of quality in the academic community to understand the different training processes and institutional assurance, for the sake of achieving the relevance in the integral formation of the graduates, as competent professionals and citizens to serve in their social environment, so that the accreditation is the legitimate process in the future university in order to achieve the relevance and social impact of their results. It is so the university accreditation is projected today, how a system that invigorates the chore university, for which it is needed that the university community in its set, reaches an integrity, relevancy and in general quality, which they make her deserving of the confidence and credibility before the society.In synthesis prove means to win confidence of the society and the University community.Keywords: Quality, Accreditation, Quality Management.
