By building a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor, it was measured higher and lower order aberrations in Intraocular lenses (IOLs). This sensor tested spherical and aspherical IOLs of different dioptres. It was found that Aspherical lenses performed better than spherical lenses. This study emphasized the importance of high order aberrations to treat visual mpairments.
